Jack Casey Motors, 50 years and 3 Generations

It's a pretty impressive track record when a successful local company can say it's serviced the Fraser Coast for 50 years. Jack Casey Motors is a true family company, with dealerships in both Maryborough and Hervey Bay. Jack Casey started selling Morris and Mini motor vehicles (later BMC) in Maryborough in 1958. Jack's retail outlet was at the Bay Road Service Station on the corner of John and Churchill Streets. This quality company has certainly come a long way since its humble beginnings, when sales staff pumped fuel as a service to their local customers.

The business journey of service, dedication and quality elevated to its second stage when Jack and his team developed the current site on the corner of Alice and Lennox Streets in Maryborough and moved into was at the time the most modern facility in town.

Jack's son, Dan joined the business in a sales role in 1973 - and being a true chip off the old block, Jack Casey Motors became more successful, even more of a trusted icon on the Fraser Coast. Five years on, the big name brand of Toyota teamed up with Jack Casey Motors, followed by the Mitsubishi franchise in 1980 and two years later Mazda became the newest franchise. Not a bad line up when it comes to big name branding.

In 1984, Jack retired from active involvement in the operation and Dan took over as director and operating manager. It only took six years before Dan propelled the operation into Hervey Bay as well and in 1993 the third generation of Caseys joined the team. After years of spending his spare time around the Dealership, Dan's son Matt arrived to start full time as an apprentice mechanic. Business boomed and two years later the Hervey Bay site expanded, the main showroom upgraded and adjoining land purchased for future growth.

The Dealership continued to grow with the towns of Maryborough and Hervey Bay and in 2005 the major refurbishment of the Maryborough Toyota facility was completed. The past two years have seen the purchase of adjoining properties in Hervey bay and Maryborough to allow the Dealership to continue its growth momentum with the local area.

2008 is the Golden anniversary of the successful launch and execution of a business icon within the Fraser Coast Region. Matt Casey is now at the helm to steer the Dealership through its 50th year celebrations and into the next exciting phase of growth and operation. How can you go wrong with the energy and commitment of youth backed by the experience and advice of Jack and Dan Casey?
